okay, so i know i have not been updating the blog very much. lets just say i am....ummm.... whats the word..... LAZY?!?!?!? YES sadly.... if you know me.... this is true.

Well as many of you dont know, i went home to sweet cali for about 11 days and just got back on the 1st. It was an amazing 11 days, it was packed with eating, hugging, eating, babies, eating, wedding, eating, gossip, LA, shopping and family & friends. here are few photos.....

So I kinda have my 1st design up on the website. It is kinda funny, it was originally a long dress with a drop waist but they decided to change it to a top and turn it the other way around...... what do you guys think? it is not something i would usually design... but hey it is 1 down a lot more to come....
It is kinda funny that this model use to model for ripcurl also when i was designing a few years ago for the line.

05.03.09 wtf mocks
so i have been super busy with making samples for work and trying not to get burned out. It is sometimes worth it and sometimes it isn't. here are a few things i have designed.
made from 2 tops- bodice is made from a tank and the sleeves are from a 4XL top
made by yardage + pattern making
made from mesh yardage and 2 T-shirts
made with a 4XL T-shirt, a chambray shirt + rib from a jacket
made with a button up knit shirt, mesh yardage and lace yardage
randomness of the day:
-my bedroom door is jamming, i wonder how long it will take him to fix the door when i tell Matt. It is kinda annoying cuz i totally feel like i am gonna break the door somehow.... i mean it is obviously broken some how.

so there is this little band in silverlake, ca that i heart heart heart!They are amazing live and they happy songs.
I really do not listen to their lyrics but they make me happy and that is all that matter to me.

not that anyone really cares but i have had a headache all day- since lunchtime today and til now and probably until i got sleep in about 10 minutes. I thought i was because i did not have a big lunch but i don't think it is that cuz i had a pretty big dinner about an hour ago... and ummm.... a big headache still.

So i have this random friend named Yoon Lee and well... she sees hearts EVERYWHERE. and for the past few months she has been sharing me phone images of all the hearts she sees. A couple of people have been urging her to create a blog to share it with the world....and FINALLY after countless months of labor, she gave birth to http://iseehearts.blogspot.com.please check it often cuz... she seriously sees them all the freakin time.... i really do think there is some wrong with her..... she is a little off center....but i heart her......

big and comfortable is what comes to mind when i wear mens clothing.above is a gingham, victorian shirt i just found ebay. it is currently going for $51. It is not bad for what it is esp for how old it is.

So today was just like any other Saturday. I went to center city and went to the bank, the salvation army store, and trader joes. then went back down to south philly to get my pd measured at the optometrist. when i got home i unloaded some stuff and had some yogurt, granola and strawberries. YUMMY! i love breakfast! then i left walked to goodwill, jo-mar and target for some work things and some zone bars. on my walk down dickenson, i saw a man on the corner of the street do the most amazing thing ever! okay here it is....
scene: corner of dickenson and 10th.
-man comes walking south on 10th to dickenson. he screams with his deep manly voice 'AHHHHHHH!!!!!'
-wife walks past him with a disgruntled look and says 'what did you do that for?'
-man stands there and says 'it was a primal yell......... a primal yell' and then he looks around to see if anyone was looking or paying any attention to him
-15 seconds later
-man yells 'AHHHHHHHH!!!!!'
end scene
okay the entire time, i was minding my own business walking on the other side of dickenson and listening to my ipod, but i can hear everything that is going on. When i heard him yell and say that it was a primal yell... i could not help but have this big ass grin on my face for about 15 minutes. It was truly a great moment here in philly for me...... I think i am finally happy?!?!?! if this is what it is supposed to feel like. :P
then walking down front street, some girl was cursing on the top of her lungs to a little girl no more then 5 years old about her not being her mom and she shouldn't have to do this. ummm.... Philly is AMAZING! and has the bestest quality of people here EVER!!!

03.31.09 the dwarf
so i just finished reading 'the dwarf' by par lagerkvist.
i really can't believe i finished a book.. i am sooo proud of myself! pat on the back...
anywho... i really did enjoy this book, i loved how dark the main character was... a must read!
it was so good i had marked all the parts i liked... here are a few......

03.29.09 white hot chocolate mistake
so today i did my sunday ritual. church and then a white hot chocolate at B2. When the girl gave me my drink i took a sip of it and it did not taste like white hot chocolate cuz it had coffee in it. Kinda expecting to have white hot chocolate i was really delighted in the very mild coffee taste. I was just gonna leave and just enjoy the coffee but i had to ask her what it was even though she made a mistake. When i asked her what it was she looked at me in bewilderment and said it is white chocolate mocha. well obviously she apologized for making the mistake and said she will make me my hot chocolate and i said it was okay....blah blah blah... but there is expresso in it....blah blah blah....no worries... its fine. Anywho... very long story short.... i think i found my coffee drink! white chocolate mocha! YUMMY!!!!!!
other little tidbits... yesterday night i did my laundry. when i was folding my whites... i noticed that my vintage tank (made of a poly blend) was really stiff at the front top bodice.... it was really gross not knowing what the hell happened but i am assuming that in the dryer it got REALLY hot and it stiffened the top bodice... no melting of any sort just really really stiff! BOO lost a really cute tank!
and i started to sketch..... i am digging.... another hobby to keep me busy here.... yippie
the sketches are a little more asbtract then my previous sketches which are more cutesy..... what do you guys think?
